Tawara House Kyoto has been dressed for summer.
In the Old Wing, traditional ajiro woven rattan panels and misu reed blinds, cherished through generations, have been carefully installed. Cushions, furnishings, and decorative textiles have also been changed to natural materials such as rattan and linen, while the delicate translucency of summer fabrics brings a sense of coolness to the eye.
These seasonal touches reflect the refined wisdom of earlier generations, who created elegant ways to live comfortably through Kyoto's hot summer months.
We welcome our guests to enjoy this seasonal summer setting, a tradition cherished at this special time of year.
